Well that was short lived. According to Jon Rothstein our possible replacement for Cauley-Stein and Towns, Mike Thorne Jr., just committed to Illinois. The 270 pound big man could have done some real damage down low for the Cats next season, but it wasn’t meant to be. I’ve got faith in Cal.

Eleem, He would have been a good one but like you said Cal will find another one just as good or better.

Oh well, the clock is ticking. He really needs to pull a rabbit out of hios hat and someway recruit Diallo. I can't believe how good he has gotten in these all star games.

I personally am happy he chose Illinois and not UK. I have seen him play and he is not that talented, big but not very good. Out of the mold of Eloy Vargas. Nothing lost there.

Why would Cal even talk to a recruit like Thorne of his caliber when he has Poy, Lee, and Willis coming back in the front court, already signing Labissiere and looking at talented players like Diallo and Maker.
