That's a bold statement and we we will see have to see what they do from here on out but one thing for sure is they are very talented.

It's a long, long, long way to the Final Four and it takes luck, not just talent, to get there. But a lot of people are already writing in top-ranked Kentucky to be there.

Some are even calling this Kentucky team possibly the best that the SEC has seen in decades.

“They’re certainly very good and I would put them right up there with some of the best that I’ve seen, yes,” said Vanderbilt coach Kevin Stallings, whose Commodores lost 69-63 to UK at home last Saturday. “Particularly on the defensive end, I think they’re outstanding so, yes, I think this Kentucky team is as good as a lot of the really, really good teams, great teams that I have seen in our league in the years that I’ve been in it. I would expect that they will continue to do very well and will have a great chance to make a run for a national championship.”

This truly is a special team but I would not label them as the best team in decades right now. We have had some pretty good teams in the nineties, expecially the 96 team and some others that were pretty complete. Also, Florida won back to back titles with a pretty good team. That is a strong statement to make and I hope that writer knows what he is talking about.

All around, the 96 team was better. Go back and watch some of that video. That team could have competed with some low end NBA teams. This team could not compete with any NBA teams. They are really scary good, but all this "all time best" talk is simple unfounded.

If they were to come back for another year they might just be the best by the end of next year. But we all know that won't happen.

On my way to the sleep study, I was listening to the Rick Pitino radio show........... I know, I feel dirty...

He commented that UK is in a category all by themselves,,,,, then you can add dUKe, UNC, Syracuse and Louisville a step below...

Now for my money, I would love to see this team play the '96 squad
