This is just my opinion. Absolutely nothing to back it up.

I now believe Joe Biden wins this election rather easily. I simply can not believe the polls are this far off.

What’s so unfortunate about it is, IMO, the Republican Party could have nominated “any” other candidate and they would have defeated Biden in a landslide. Pick any of the Republican candidates that ran against Trump in 2016 and it’s no contest. Trump won only because a few people in key states disliked Hillary slightly more than they disliked Trump.

Hard for most people to dislike Uncle Joe compared to Trump unless you are one of those who dislike someone because of political beliefs only. Sure, you can point to the Ukraine scandal and a couple of others that may be a little shady. However compare that to Trump’s life, record and most importantly, his mouth, they are a mere pittance.

I think the majority of American people align more closely with the totality of Republican policies than Democratic. Their intense dislike of the POTUS overrides their political leanings. While I may not agree, I understand.

I agree with your post. I did not vote for Trump the first time, but I did not vote for anyone. I do not like Trump's vulgar speech. I do like most of his decisions. I am concerned about Biden's political ideas. I do not think they will affect my wife and me, but I have three children and am concerned about them.

I care way more for Trump's decisions than I do his New York vulgarity. I voted for him in 2016 and I will again. Biden/Harris and their handlers would do far more damage to this country than all of Mister Trump's New Yorker style could do in could ever do.

Jarcat, I had not heard that (but then, I don't get out much these days!). But that sounds like a good representation of the situation.

At one time, we respected the OFFICE of the president, not who sat in it. Regardless of party, the office of the president was bigger than the occupant.

Trump is certainly a larger-than-life personality, but he is still dwarfed by the awesome responsibilities he has as the occupant of that office. And, despite his poor mannerisms, he is executing those responsibilities in a way that I find more than satisfactory. Not on every count, of course. Until I am president, nobody will reach 100%. [Smile]

But most of his decisions are reasonable and follow what I consider common-sense principles. And while it is clear that Trump loves Trump, it is equally clear that he loves America.

He has my vote. Biden is espousing policies that are revolutionary, and his party has moved so far to the left that I cannot support ANY democrat candidate in ANY election. The choice is stark for me, and while I wish the Republicans had a different candidate, I will take Trump over Biden every day of the week, and (if possible) twice on election day. [Smile]

With Biden you have socialism which is akin to communism!

There is a clear choice imv..

Anyone who doesnt see this is truly a Trump hater who refuses to look at what each man stands for

More like about 24 years, HC. Once the Monica Lewinski scandal broke, the respect for the office started declining. Bush endured 8 years of being burned in effigy, of assassination movies, etc. Then Obama presided over (and in my opinion, worsened) a divided nation. He certainly had no love from most conservatives, but the vitriol that Republicans received was not directed at him. Now, we have 4 years of open warfare against Trump.

Will it ever get better? I hope so. But only a crisis that both sides are affected by will do so.

I agreed with very few of Obama’ policies but thought he conducted himself well and generally showed a lot of class. During his administration the divide worsened. I believe part of this was his liberal policies. I also believe part of it was much of our nation was not willing to accept a black president. Did I just play the race card? I’m sure some would accuse me of that but in my mind it’s a fact.

If you were to elect a president in the last election based solely on bringing our country together, Trump was the worst possible choice. It’s simply not in his DNA to be empathetic.
I still agree with most of his policies but the man brings out the worst in me.

IMO, Obama was an empty suit. He had an opportunity to bring the country together, but chose to close the door to bipartisanship. I’ll never forget his comment, “Elections have consequences.”
The list of things he did to harm this country are too long to list, but he was a smooth talker and the media fawned over him.
Trump is a New Yorker who doesn’t know how to sugar coat things. He just says what he thinks. I wish he wouldn’t do it sometimes, but his policies have been great for our country.
I don’t believe polls because I don’t believe the media. If Biden gets elected I believe the country will suffer for it. The Squad, Harris, Pelosi and the gang will take us down a road I pray we never have to travel. Trump wasn’t my choice in 2016, but I voted for him and will vote for him again in 2020. I simply can’t stand by and allow liberal lunacy to destroy our nation.

IMO Barry was the one who introduced division in race in our country! Situations like the one that took place in the St. Louis area were just the tip of the ice berg!
