I wrote a post very much like this one in the thread that HC deleted, but I want to say it again.

My parents were lifetime democrats. They were also trusting people, who thought that those who represented us had good intentions in all things.

I am quite sure that they would be horrified by how, and how much, their party has changed. They are gone now, so they didn't witness it in their lifetime.

But I would never have thought I would see this much of a shift in MY lifetime either.

Never would I have thought that we would see our cities burn and even "occupied", and mayors and governors would do nothing about it.

Never would I have thought that I would see AMERICAN CITIZENS chanting "Death to America".

Never would I have thought that the democrat party would include outright socialist dogma in their platform, without shame.

Never would I have thought that the race hustlers would have succeeded in creating the conditions for race warfare in this nation.

Never would I have thought that Americans would "take a knee" in subservience to ANY organization.

Never would I have thought that good, decent people would be harrassed and forced to say or do things against their will, with no repurcussions.

Never would I have thought that Americans would willingly give up their constitutionally-protected liberties without a whimper; those liberties used to be worthy of self-sacrifice to protect, now they are simply abandoned when autocrats demand it.

Never would I have thought that impossible-to-define terms like "White Privilege" and "systemic racism", which are asserted without any proof, would be accepted without dissent.

This country used to be "the land of the free, and the home of the brave". Now, it is a land of cowering masses dominated by screaming mobs. Freedom? Not sure it is a meaningful term in these circumstances. We had a chance for a serious, fact-based dialog about the ever-stoked race issue, but that chance evaporated in the heat of burning buildings and organized violence.

Now what? What is the 'end state' of all of this?

I hesitate to guess. But honestly, I don't see a good ending.

Regarding life in general, most Americans now feel entitled and do not know how good they have it. If any of this crap happened in many other countries then a lot of people would've already been executed.

I thought this was only going to happen if Joe Biden is elected.

No, what's happening is that the Democratic mayors and Governors are hopeful that people will believe this is DJT's America and think, well I should vote Democrat and all of this will stop.

Interesting that the Dem driven Cities and states are trying to continue keeping businesses closed. If we hurt Trumps economy we might be able to defeat him on Nov. 3rd.

If we flip flop on how we feel about certain policies maybe we can draw some of these undecided suckers in and after they vote us into office we don't have to do anything that we promised! THen again, maybe we take away all of their rights and they'll like it! SOunds like something the

HARRIS ADMINISTRATION would do!

I hope you guys heard her say that one yesterday!

I have many friends and family who are Democrats and some are very liberal. Not one of them supports rioting, ANTiFA, defunding the police etc. Many do believe the police should be held accountable for their actions as do I. They also believe in free health care and higher education for all, and other policies that I am not comfortable with.

I have many friends and family who are Republicans and some very conservative. Not one of them support the skinheads, Ku Klux Klan or other racist organizations. They also believe in responsible spending by their government. Their beliefs are more closely aligned with mine but are not all inclusive.

Both sides are making outrageous accusations against the other and unfortunately both sides are willing to believe those claims.

If Donald Trump makes a claim about the Democrats, many of his base will believe it without question. If the leader/leaders (not sure who that is) of the Democratic Party makes a claim against the Republican Party, many of the base will believe it without question.

I agree, I’ve never seen our country as divided as this. Almost no one is willing to listen to the legitimate concerns of the other.

I believe there are a variety of reasons for this division starting with the leadership of both parties and the way “news” is presented to the American public. Throw in the intolerance of most to even listen to to ideas other than their own and you have the divisiveness of America today. At least that’s my opinion and I’m sticking with it.

Seriously? Do you not see this happening NOW?

Actually, should Biden be elected, I think all of the above will simply stop... as if it never happened. The whole purpose of the chaos is to encourage people to stop thinking and act out of fear... and elect Biden. Once that is accomplished, it will be amazing how quickly everything that I wrote about will stop.
