Kentucky moved up one spot in both polls this week. The Cats came in at No. 8 in the AP Poll, and moved up from No. 11 to No. 10 in the latest Coaches Poll.

Louisville is also the new No. 1 team in the Coaches Poll, followed by Virginia, Kansas, Maryland, and Michigan. Kentucky’s opponent in the CBS Sports Classic, Ohio State, is No. 6, followed by North Carolina, Duke, and Gonzaga. That makes for a seven-spot drop in the Coaches Poll for the Blue Devils following the loss to Stephen F. Austin to go along with a nine-spot drop in the AP Poll.

If these rankings hold (they probably won’t), Kentucky will play the No. 6 and No. 1 teams in the country in the span of one week. Hope they’re ready.

Coaches poll still has Duke ahead of us.😒

Michigan came out of nowhere to make top 5 in both both polls. Hard to argue with that with the week they had IMO.

dook and UK positions are exactly opposite in the two polls. I would have thought the AP would have been the one to have UK lower, not the coaches.

dUKe has an excuse for losing. K wasn't feeling well, and that's the excuse we're sticking with!
