This could be huge. I think he can develop into a great player with another year to get stronger. Further I would not be surprised if he is our 6th man of the year playing behind Maxey and Hagans.

At least we'll mhave 3 PG's just in case any thing happens. [Eek!]

With that many ball handlers, it makes it easier to break a press!

With a summer to work on his jumper Quickley could step in at the 1 or 2. Which will really help Hagans and Maxey out.

Also if Hagans develops his jumper, this backcourt could score a ton in a hurry and play great defense.

Wouldn't be amazing if a Cal team had actual shooters? Imagine UK putting up 20+ 3-pointers per game!

Ah, one can dream...

He definitely made the right decision. I hope his improvement in year two is as great as pj's was.

Next years team look to be a good one!

CMD, it does indeed. With the return of Hagans, Quickly, Baker, Montgomery, and Richards, we would have a great starting five. Add in our incoming freshmen and the grad transfer, and we should have a great mix of youth and experience next year.

I cannot remember when FIVE players (almost all of them 5-stars our of HS) elected to return to UK since Cal became our coach. Could this be the 'transition point' where Cal can start to rely less on freshmen year-in and year-out?

Richard's may have been a 5 star, coming out of high school. He was ranked on potential. If we have to rely on him we're in trouble. He has weak hands, and he almost is always out of position when it comes to rebounding.

I might be wrong but would bet Richards will be a much more confident and better player next season. It takes some players more time to adjust.

UUUhhhh, we said that about this season and we see what the result was. Barely better than the first year, depending on how you look at it. He didn't have much BB experience when he came here so maybe the third year will be the charm. If not, he's in trouble and better stay and get his degree in something for the real world.

He has a ton of athleticism but just does not know how to play the game of basketball and I am not sure Cal and the staff will ever be able to turn him into an NBA player. I hope for his sake that they can.

ESPN just reported Baker has entered into the Transfer Portal.

Frankly, I didn't think Baker helped all that much.

But you could see an improvement in his play while Richards didn't show me a lot more this year.
