I’m not going to list them all, but UVA got the benefit of some close calls and some missed calls to win their last 3-4 games. They are a very good team, but were a little lucky also.

That's because they are filling in for Duke to represent the ACC.

I'll never forget when Trey Ball said Virginia doesn't do much for him and is by far the weaker seed and now they're NCAA Champs. lol . I'll have to admit myself that I agreed with Trey at the time and now I 'm eating my words too. [Big Grin]

A simple missed call gave them the win over Auburn.

The calls in last night's game were unbelievable. There were so many fouls that were not called, both ways. There was one play they showed in slow motion where Guy had the ball and two TT players were trying to take it. One guy was all over his arms - couldn't believe the no-call. There were many plays like this one that just didn't get called. They really let them play, and it was kind of enjoyable.

I still stand by that. Purdue and Auburn lost games they had won. Purdue and Auburn had to find ways to lose those games and they did. Viiginia advanced in those rounds but I’m not sure I would say they won I say those two teams lost.

To me Virginia is the most undeserving champ in my lifetime. It just goes to show the sad state that College Basketball is in.

I'm with Trey on this. Even though they will forever have a banner hanging in their rafters, I still won't be impressed by their victories!

That is so true, they got so lucky and really don't deserve it. Clearly the refs wanted another ACC Champ.
