Tyrese Maxey suffered an ankle injury during Team USA’s matchup with Puerto Rico on Tuesday.

Maxey was off to another fast start before turning his ankle and leaving the game in the third quarter. He never even returned to the USA bench, as he was likely receiving treatment from the medical team in the locker room.

USA head coach Bill Self has since told reporters that Maxey will receive medical treatment and could be done for the rest of the tournament.

Maxey was clearly hobbled, but he wasn’t exactly on the ground writhing in pain. It’s hopefully just a minor sprain that will be healed up soon enough.
