For a few minutes, it looked like we could still Kentucky vs. Louisville on the gridiron this fall.
Earlier Wednesday, the ACC announced its plans for a football schedule this fall, which features 11 games, one of which can be of the nonconference variety.
That obviously would bode well for Louisville and Kentucky getting their nonconference rivalry matchup in (if there is a season), but it looks like those hopes are dying right as they were brought back to life.
According to Sports Illustrated, the SEC is now planning to have a 10-game conference-only football schedule this year. That obviously kills any hope of rivalries like Kentucky vs, Louisville, Florida vs. Florida State and Georgia vs. Georgia Tech, but the SEC appears to think this is the best way to go about a season marred by the coronavirus.

I thought you were supposed to learn how to count in elementary school. It appears that some of these sports writers failed math in elementary school. The SEC only plays an 8 game conference schedule so how do they propose to play 10 of them in the SEC and no non-conference games?? I believe if they played only conference games the total would be 8 games. With 10 games they would be able to play Louisville and 1 other non-conference game.

If they go to an SEC-only schedule, they would expand it to fill out the requisite number of games.

That will be one tough schedule. Our recruiting is going to have to step it up a few notches.

Just read where they go with a Ten game SEC schedule only and start in late Sept. For some reason I can not post the link. Maybe because I remain a dumb ass.
I still have serious doubts that we will have college football this year.

When I posted I assumed they would just drtop the 4 non-conference games and just play the 8 conference games. Wrong. So by picking up LSU and Ole Miss our record could very easily be a losing one this year. I have us with a 4-4 schedule with the teams already on our schedule. If we were lucky enough to win SC, Vandy, MO, & MS st we would also have to upset either FL, AU, or TN to go 5-3. With a split of the other 2 games our best would be 6-4. More likely a 5-5 record.
