I wonder how Gran will shape the offense next season. This year, he was wise enough to ride on the back of a better-than-average o-line and a stellar running back. But next year we will have to shuffle the o-line, and Rose did not show that he is anywhere near being equal to Snell. Wilson is a run-first QB with a fairly limited ability to pass.
So, will we run the option? Try to keep going with a power run game? Hope Wilson can improve enough as a passer to go for some sort of pass-first spread offense? Or will that necessitate changing our QB?
I have no idea, and I am sure the answer will emerge from the details of spring practice and summer training. But I do know it will be different.
