I love Stoops as head coach. However, I think our offensive coordinator is the problem. Stoops needs to get someone better.

I predicted this one and im going to be right. We are overrated and can't never beat the vols even when they have weak teams. Such a shame that we won't be in a Jan. 1st bowl game. [ 11-10-2018, 05:00 PM: Message edited by: blue hoot ]

One of these days we'll recruit a true quarterback, I really dislike the duel threat if we could actually scare someone with a passing attack Benny could run wild

We have all drank the KOOL AID!!! We definitely don't have a good QB. He has had a few good days against weaker teams but when it counts he don't know what to do. Can't believe anyone can talk about how good our offensive line is. Benny is worthless when they don't open a hole for him. Wouldn't surprise me if we lose a 4th game in one of our last games and finish 8-4. HELLO TENNESSEE BOWL GAME AGAIN.

I hate Stoops as a head coach, I have from day 1, but admit he has improved the program from where it was at. To me he is has demonstrated way too many times how clueless he is and today is another example. When you are down 24-0 with under two minutes to go in the 3rd quarter and you score a TD you attempt the 2 point conversion in hopes of making it a two score game going into the 4th quarter. Nope he kicks the extra point. That is on the head coach.
Just like last year when you call two defensive timeouts against Florida and you come out each time and don't cover their best player. That is on the head coach.
He is just like his brother Bob. Great recruiter, but can't coach a lick in my opinion. They just hope they recruit enough talent to propel them to wins.
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

He's had 3 offensive coordinators they've all had reputations of airing it out, until they come to Kentucky, the other two that's left plays spread you out offenses. The common denominator is stoops,he needs to let Gran run the offense in stay out of it except to decide to go on 4th downs.

I'm disappointed in today's loss and thought it was a game we could win.
On the other hand we have a real chance of going 9 and 3 and getting a very respectable bowl. Who thought we would be that good pre season? I for sure didn't. This team exceeded my expectations in almost every way. [ 11-10-2018, 07:55 PM: Message edited by: handycat ]

Just being honest, but when I looked at the schedule and based upon who UK had coming back and the hype around TD Terry, I would guess many people would think 9-3 was more than achievable. I'm not convinced they will beat Louisville though at Louisville they way they have played the last three weeks. The Missouri win was basically a miracle.
When you don't have to play Alabama/LSU/Auburn and you have new coaches in Florida and Texas A&M and both of those schools are not at their normal talent level. Well that is about the best schedule one could ask for in my opinion.
I never expected UK to beat UGA, but every other game on their schedule was winnable. Next year's schedule is probably even more favorable as they once again don't have to play any of the trio of Alabama/Auburn/LSU and they get Florida/Missouri/UT at home.
