We had a good weekend ....... Mostly. Saw four of our six children, 5 of 11 grandchildren, six of 12 great grandchildren, and several spouses of the aforementioned. We all ate well, and some of us, too much.

The weekend was not all sugar and spice though. I have not been as steady on my feet as I would like, lately. I mowed the entire yard yesterday, and when I finished, I filled the mower, emptying the 2-1/2 gallon gas can. I use it almost exclusively, because it's easier for an old man to handle. Anyway, while refilling it from a 5 gallon can, I fell. Somehow, I landed on my back and turned the big can on its side. Naturally it spilled out and pooled under my back. Then to top it all off, I couldn't get up very quickly. It took me more than 5 minutes to get back on my feet. When I did get up, I went to the back door and asked my daughter, her daughter and her two little girls to get into one of the bedrooms and close the door, because I was coming through buck naked. They did as I asked without delay. I took all my clothes off on the carport, came in, grabbed my bathrobe, and into the shower I went. Millie retrieved them all from the bedroom, and the were laughing their a**es off, I'm sure. I'll be more careful from now on.

Norm, I have not been on here for a while and just saw this. This golden age sucks. While some younger than you, I’ve noticed my stability is getting a little shaky also. While you’re story was humorous, these kind of incidents are getting old. I fell in our drive some while back and I looked like a beached whale trying to get on my feet.

Glad it turned out as well as it did.
