I'm okay. Just a tad depressed over our basketball team and the election "results". Don't think I could add much to the narrative without getting someone else disgusted with things as well. I do check TCD out 3 or 4 times a day. While I'm here, I will start a new Word Association though.

I'm right there with you, Norm. Between the miserableness (is that a word?) of winter, cold and gray, and the terrible play on a hopeful basketball team!

Agree. I am in a deep funk now.
Cold, gray winter days do not help. But the inexorable slide into authoritarianism/socialism has me really upset. The democrats are using all the plays from the Dictator playbook:
1. Don't do small lies. BIG lies are rarely questioned. Thus "Russian Collusion!", "Ukraine!", and "Insurrection! Domestic Terrorists!"
2. Own/control all means of mass communications.
3. Destroy freedom of speech to squash any opposition.
4. Disrupt people's lives and make them fearful so they will accept even more loss of freedom in exchange for "security".
5. Tamper with elections to ensure victory.
6. Come for the guns...

I'll be 86 in q few months, and even though I am in good health, I doubt if I'll live long enough to ever see another conservative president. My liberal son wrote an email saying he watched Mr Biden's news conference, and how "nice it was to hear from a 'normal' person'. I replied, "Normal people don't go around smelling people's hair". I'll be interested to hear his answer to that!
