I'm just wondering: Could all these dead fish just be passed out? In another article, the mayor was asked it they could smell the spilt bourbon. His reply: This is Bardstown. You can ALWAYS smell bourbon!

That is a LOT of bourbon! Would certainly love to have one of those barrels...

Well, as of 2013 (the date of an article I read), you could buy a custom barrel of Woodford Reserve for $10,000. By custom, I mean they let you taste a number of barrels, and then choose two that they will blend for you. That ten grand nets you 180 bottles. A "full" barrel technically has about 267 750ml bottles, but the "angel share" (or loss to evaporation) would depend on how long it was aged.

$10,000 for 180 bottles comes out to be $55.55 per bottle. That is a lot more than I am willing to pay for my name on a barrel of Woodford Reserve. Now, if that was Laphroaig single-malt, then yes!
