Russ Yeast initially looked like he’d follow his father and play at Kentucky, but the younger Yeast de-committed in June and committed to rival Louisville four months later. But Kentucky isn’t giving up hope with National Signing Day less than two weeks away.
It came as a surprise that Stoops had an in-home visit with Yeast, but he wasn’t the only one. Yeast also tweeted Thursday night that he had in-home visits with Louisville and Notre Dame.
Kentucky looks like a long shot to flip Yeast back to Lexington, but if it happens, Yeast would be the fourth-ranked prospect in UK’s 2017 class.
His dad was the most decorated Kentucky receiver of all time. Craig Yeast, who played at UK from 1995-98, is the school’s all-time leader in receptions (208), receiving yards (2,899) and touchdown receptions (28).
