We are on a road trip in the Southwest. A couple of days ago we were in Big Bend National Park and went to an overlook on the Rio Grande. There is not a man made restriction of any kind here. We could see some folks camping on the other side. I have no idea what the depth of the water is but even an old, out of shape man such as myself could easily swim this creek. Anyone wanting to enter our country illegally could cross here, have someone pick them up and eureka they are in. We did go thru a check point several miles after leaving the park and it seemed very lax.
I had no idea how porous our borders actually are. Unless you believe in open borders, you should absolutely support building his wall,
IMO, Trump is spot on with a wall. [ 12-07-2019, 02:30 PM: Message edited by: handycat ]

I was stationed in Tucson at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, 1962-1067, and worked part time in an appliance repair shop. I met as as many people that spoke no English as those that could not speak Spanish.
