Just 20 years old, Tyler Herro was the youngest player on the floor during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
He was also the best.
Herro made all kinds of NBA history Wednesday night, scoring a career-high 37 points to go with six rebounds and three assists in Miami's 112-109 win over the Boston Celtics to bring the Heat within one game of the NBA Finals.
He was the model of efficiency, making 14 of 21 shots and 5 of 10 three-pointers in 36 minutes and in the process:
– became the youngest player in NBA history to score 30+ points in a playoff game off the bench.
– scored the most points ever by a rookie in a Conference Finals game.
– scored the most points in a playoff game by a rookie over the last 10 postseasons.
