Tyler Ulis is still waiting to find his next NBA home, and he hopes to have one soon with the NBA preseason beginning in three weeks.
Could the Cleveland Cavaliers be where Ulis lands? It sounds like a possibility.
This is the first reported workout Ulis has had since being waived by the Phoenix Suns this offseason. Ulis has shown promise throughout his first two NBA seasons, enough to think he’ll become a quality backup at worst, but the Suns were ready to give other guards a chance going into next season while also saving some cash.
Ulis finished the 2017-18 season fifth in total minutes played for Phoenix, but he had a difficult year for a team that ended up with the No. 1 overall pick. He was third in assists per game for the league’s worst assisting team and only 11th in points per game while making just 38.8 percent of his field-goal attempts.
