I'm not sure, but Stoops reply was pretty classic. He got the nice little post season dig in on Cal.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

IMO, Cal is right , UK is a basketball school.
Stoops is doing a great job of turning the football program around but 2 or 3 good seasons doesn’t make you a football school.
That said, Cal probably should have kept the truth to himself.

hc... uk may be a basketball school but any coach that is willing to go over the AD is wrong !!! The AD is his boss and then saying what he said about the fb program is just flat out wrong especially when he hasn't done much with the bkb program the last couple of years in the post season. Bad optics and even worse between the 2 sports.

I was glad to see Cal admitted to a mistake. I can relate. I made one myself. It was many years ago but still.
Had to edit this to say that, IMO, UK is a basketball school, but I realize the football program generates more revenue than basketball. I’ve also become as big a UK football fan as basketball. I never thought I would say that.

Just realized I wasn't getting all those emails they send out to game day workers about this time of year. I won't miss those long walks from and to the parking garage at each game.

I don’t think there’s any question that UK is a basketball school. We were (until this last year) the winningest program in the history of college basketball. That still doesn’t give Cal the right to dig on the football team. Stoops has done a great job and Cal’s comments were totally out of line. I hope it provides some fuel for the football team to make a liar out of Cal and cause us to say, maybe we are a football school. 😊

I don't think Cal's intent was to dig at the Football Program or Stoops. His dig is with Mitch who will not listen to Cal about the basketball facilities being completely outdated.
UK should have the best basketball facilities in the country and most definitely in the SEC. Instead they have neither. They are near the bottom when compared to other Power 5 schools.
Cal's comment came after he had to cancel practice due to roof leaks at The Craft Center.

They need to find a place for a new facility over by the rest of the sports; football, baseball, softball and Soccer. They need a new housing facility along with it.

IMO he needs to do something with him team then ask for a new facility. His results have been bad since 2015 - and doubt if a new place will make his recruiting any better than it has been, which has been at a very high level since he got here.
