Wellllll sports folks! Was the game last night a surprise? Probably so for some of the Wildcats. But I'm sure Cal warned them about being complacent.

I haven't looked at the box score yet but I'm sure we made enough mistakes in this one to cover two games. The first half it looked like we were looking for ways to make mistakes. No one could shoot very well.

Not sure where we would have ended up if not for Reeves. Cal and everyone else can talk all they want to about Wallace being the starter at the 2, and I'm pretty sure he will be there come game #1. But Reeves is the one most deserving of that spot right now. Wallace is like Wheeler by making too many unforced turnovers. But Cal will not forsake his 5 level ranked freshmen.

If I was starting the first game after these 4 exhibition games it would be Oscar, Toppin, Allen, Reeves and Wheeler. And of course there are plenty of reserves who showed they can play; Wallace, Livingston and Thiero. When Fredrick is ready we saw he can shoot.

The only one I'm convinced will make a few cameo appearances is Ware. We have had a lot of kids like Ware thru the years who try hard but basketball at a high level is ust not in their repitoire.
