Could Shaedon Sharpe, the No. 1 ranked basketball recruit in the country in the class of 2022, be mulling early graduation from high school to join the Kentucky Wildcats this January?

According to 247Sports’ Travis Branham, the shooting guard, currently playing at Dream City Christian in Arizona, has put that possibility under “strong consideration” and that he could make the call “in the coming weeks”. However, Branham notes that Sharpe wouldn’t likely play immediately and could instead make his debut at the beginning of next season.

Sharpe committed to the Wildcats on Sept. 7, giving John Calipari 3 5-star recruits in the 2022 class. Skyy Clark pledged to the Wildcats in Oct. 2020 and Chris Livingston, the No. 6 player in the class, committed on Sept. 15, just over a week after Sharpe’s pledge. As far as the class of 2021, the Wildcats ranked No. 10, headlined by the signings of Arizona point guard TyTy Washington and Texas forward Daimion Collins.
