Kentucky basketball hadn't landed a top-flight commitment in four years.

The wait is over. The Wildcats landed a commitment Saturday from five-star shooting guard Terrence Clarke of Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Jersey. The Athletic was first to break the news as Clarke, with a delayed 1 p.m. announcement at the Vine Street Community Center in Roxbury, Massachusetts, waited to be joined by his family.

Clarke chose UK over Boston College, his hometown finalist. A profile story on Clarke was featured on the front page of the Boston Globe on Saturday morning. But BC's chances were slim – Kentucky held 100% of the analyst predictions for his commitment in the 247Sports Crystal ball.

Currently ranked No. 3 in the country overall in the 2021 class, he told Bleacher Report that he will reclassify to 2020. Kentucky also remains in the running for five-star 2020 guards Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green, both top-five prospects according to the 247Sports Composite.

So all the other players you signed the last 4 years were chopped liver ??? Some of those kids could flat out play. Fox was a top 5 or 6 player and Monk wasn't far behind if I remember correctly.
