Michigan State just sent Duke home by a score of 68 to 67, great game. Takes some of the hurt out of our loss to Auburn.

Don't get me wrong. I do think Duke was one of the best teams this year (college basketball in general wasn't very good) and even early I thought they might be one of the greatest ever, but this may have been one of the most over hyped teams of all time just because of how unique of a player Zion is.

They were not nearly as "unbeatable" as the media made them out to be. A very poor three point shooting team and like UK they struggled to play a complete 40 minutes. They could have very easily lost 5 or 6 more games this year: Florida State/Wake Forest/Louisville/Auburn/Texas Tech/Central Florida.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

To me this has to be one of the biggest failures of a team in a season. To have 4 first round players on your team, the next "Greatest ever" player, and supposedly the best coach of all time; but you lose 6 games in the season, barely survive to get to the elite 8, and then get taken out by one of Tom Izzos least talented teams. I loved every minute of it. I also found it funny that the refs only calling 3 fouls on Duke came back to bite them.

I've said a long time ago, veteran teams are beating freshmen classes no matter how talented they are. Winston and Goins took care of business today. This is going to catch up with Duke like it has been at UK.

THIS JUST IN:

The referees working the Puke/Mich. St. game were immediately fired after the game.

ESPN is declaring a day of mourning at their headquarters and affiliates and they're called for a thorough investigation of collusion with the Russians and the NCAA.

This is the write-up on espn.com:

"That's probably the last we'll see of Zion Williamson in college basketball. The heavy favorite to go No. 1 in the NBA Draft, Williamson hasn't officially declared his intentions, but it would be the stunner of stunners if Williamson returned to Durham for his sophomore season. He came into college as a viral star, a top-three prospect and one of the candidates to go No. 1 in the NBA Draft. If he leaves, he leaves as one of the most unique players to come through college basketball in decades -- and the clear-cut best player in the country. We might not see another player like Williamson for some time."
