UK is going to have to play over every single sceeen and they better face guard and deny the ball to Hoover and McGee all night.
You have to force them to drive and not leave the shooters. I would rather give up the two then see them get it rolling from 3. [ 03-21-2019, 11:49 PM: Message edited by: Trey Ball ]
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

I wouldn't trade one player on our team for one of theirs. That being said I think it will be close for a little while but UK cruises IMO.

Wofford played six games this year versus A power 6 school and went 0-6,they also had the 119th ranked schedule this year. UK had the most quadrant one wins of any team and played arguably the toughest schedule. If we struggle I'll be surprised.

They are a very good team and do the one thing well that gives us fits, shoot three point shots a lot and with a lot of accuracy. I agree with Trey, we have to take the three point shot away from them or we could be in for a long afternoon Saturday.

Well, they only lost 4 games all year so I don't know how they lost "6" to Power Schools.
They hammered South Carolina this year. They are a Power 6 School and they just hammered Seton Hall who I believe beat UK, another Power 6 school. The only Power 6 to run away and hide from them was Kansas at full strength in Lawrence.
Wofford is basically a bigger version of Auburn except they shoot from 3 Point Range with much more accuracy, they have a low post scorer, they don't turn the ball over, and probably most important they are WAY more disciplined. [ 03-22-2019, 07:31 AM: Message edited by: Trey Ball ]

I'm hoping we can guard their guards easier. They aren't really quick and they're not as athletic. If we limit their 3-point shooting we'll be fine.
Wofford beat SC a few games after SC lost to Stony Brook. I think it's safe to say that SC wasn't a very good team when Wofford beat them.
Other than SC and last night's victory over Seton Hall, Wofford lost all the games it played against major D-1 teams. [ 03-22-2019, 09:21 AM: Message edited by: PaulCat ]

Our team is athletically superior. They will make some threes, but if we play to the best of our ability I believe we will be fine. It's not called March madness for nothing. UAB beat us years ago by dropping 3's like rain, I hope history doesn't repeat itself.

Agree! A lot of times you can guard all you want and teams will still make threes. I'm not sure we are good enough to counterpunch their threes and you can't trade 3s for 2s.

I think Wofford will have to make another 13 three-pointers to have a chance to upset Kentucky. If they don't bury a lot of threes, we'll thump 'em.

Makes sense. If we cut them off at about 7 or 8 threes we can beat them. Nobody has mentioned their defense. Their defense is what we can beat them at. Look at the points they've allowed. Unless we have an enormously bad shooting day we'll beat them by double figures. Just hope our two scorers, Herro and Johnson can get their fair share of points and 3's.

You can bet Cal will have his team guarding the 3 point line and if we that we win big.
