It’s no longer a certainty that Jemarl Baker suits up for Kentucky this season.
During his Monday call-in show, John Calipari gave an update on his injured guard, who has yet to log a collegiate minute since committing to Kentucky in the Class of 2017.
Calipari finally admitted he’s not certain that Baker plays this season as he deals with swelling in his surgically-repaired knee. Calipari added that Baker has been “limited” in practice and needs to get a bigger practice workload before he’s cleared to play in games.
While not ideal, Calipari did say he hopes Baker can return soon and give Kentucky another shooter.
“Let’s hope, because we could use more guys, especially guys making shots.”

I seriously doubt that he will ever play for Kentucky or any other team for that matter.

Injuries to knees can be the kiss of death to athletes.
