Sacha Killeya-Jones received interest from more than 30 college basketball programs after he announced he would transfer from Kentucky earlier this month.

The sophomore forward's list was recently trimmed to Arizona State, Clemson, Georgetown, Nevada, NC State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Texas, North Carolina, and Wake Forest, his mother Ley Killeya-Jones confirmed to Courier Journal Saturday.

"It’s never easy for me seeing a player go, especially when it’s someone you’ve seen grow as much as Sacha has and someone you want to continue to coach," UK coach John Calipari said earlier this month in a news release. "I truly believe Sacha was just starting to find out who he is and that his best days are ahead of him. I still believe that whether he’s here or someone else."

I have a feeling he will end up at North Carolina. If he does, It will be hard for me to wish him well. I would love to have him on our roster next year but can certainly understand his leaving for another team and shot at playing basketball, I am not sure he would ever really get that chance at UK. I felt that he and Gabriel should have been starters at the beginning of our season rather than the five freshmen.

If he goes to UNC then I root for him to do well, as long as they lose.

Sacha's averaged 11.7 minutes a game, shot 58.5% from the field averaged 2.7 boards, and 3.2 points. Decent numbers for his limited time on the court. It will be interesting to see where he ends up and what kind of numbers he puts up.

I will root for Sasha. Will never root for UNC. I wish the young man the best, wherever he lands.
