In case you have not heard, or checked social media, or watched any TV at all, the number one player in the class of 2018, Marvin Bagley, re-classified to 2017 and committed to Duke. You’re probably thinking, “Ugh, really?” Here’s why us Kentucky fans shouldn’t stress about his decision.
First off, our team is loaded. Plain and simple. Kentucky goes two deep at virtually every position, including Bagley’s position at Power Forward, with the likes of P.J Washington, Jarred Vanderbilt, Sacha Killeya-Jones, etc.
If you automatically gave up hope on the upcoming college season because Bagley went to Duke, you are severely mistaken. This Kentucky team can compete with any team in the nation, filled with whatever talent may be on that team. Short answer? I like my team.
Second, you still have to play the game. Remember when Duke was supposed to run the table this past season and they lost in the second round of the NCAA tournament? Yeah, I do too.
