Senior Megan Yocke was named to the preseason All-Southeastern Conference team, the SEC office announced Wednesday. This marks the first preseason accolade of Yocke's career.
Kentucky's senior catcher from Sunnyvale, Calif., is one of 13 players selected by the league's 11 coaches for the preseason All-Conference team. Yocke is the lone representative behind the plate. Four infielders, five outfielders, two pitchers, a catcher and a utility player were selected with no ties broken.
Yocke has started in all 170 games in her career for the Blue and White. She is a three-time All-SEC selection after earning All-SEC second team honors as a sophomore and junior. She was an All-SEC Freshman team honoree in her first season. A season ago, Yocke was also a member of the All-Defensive team as a catcher.
