ESPN has us with the 35th ranked recruiting class in the nation. We are 12th in the SEC with only Vandy and Mizzou below us.

I watched an hour long recruiting special last night on the Lexington CW channel hosted by Jeff Pciero, Freddie Maggard, and Jeff Drummond.
Drummond, who works for Scout said many of the recruiting ranking services, including his, don't include the Juco players in the ranking of the class.
UK took 5 Juco players. They got a bull rush nose tackle who is 6'2" 325, a pass rushing DE who is 6'5" 225, an OT who is 6'6" 300, a WR 6'4" 220, and a dual threat QB whose highlights show him throwing on a dead run.
The tackle should start from day one. The DE will prob start. The DT will either start or play half the snaps. Don't see how you keep a juco receiver who is 6'4" off the field, especially in the redzone. And there is now a QB on the team who can legitimately challenge Drew Barker for the starting QB spot.
They went out and got top juco talent to fill the holes that they have. They will help immediately.

If Landon young is as good as everyone thinks he is, he will start at the other tackle and the big George who will be a sophomore can move from tackle to guard. They should have a much improved O line. Drake is not as big, but he is mean and could play back up center and maybe try to start at guard and then move to center after Toth graduates.
There is another top lineman that will be a senior at Lafayette this season and a lot of top programs want him as well. If UK gets him, next year, the O line will be in great shape.
And as for QB, I do like that Barker will have to fight for his job and that UK now has a full time QB coach. [ 02-04-2016, 11:27 AM: Message edited by: boomdaddy ]

Some of these recruits realize they can start at Kentucky as freshmen and that is "one" advantage in SEC recruiting we do have.
