Defensive lineman T.J. Carter is now ranked by ESPN as a high three-star prospect, one day after committing to the University of Kentucky.
Carter — a 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive end from Mableton, Ga. — did not have a star ranking from any of the major recruiting services when he committed to UK on Thursday night. On Friday, ESPN assigned him a “77” grade, which makes him the 11th-highest-rated player in the Wildcats’ 25-man recruiting class of 2016.
Rivals.com, Scout.com and 247Sports have yet to give Carter a star ranking.
National signing day is Wednesday.
