It's comforting to know we have 2 good options that are close in talent.
Kentucky coach Mark Stoops is still not quite ready to announce a No. 1 quarterback even if spring practice did end Wednesday for the Wildcats.
“I’m going to sit on that. I’ll let you know. If I’m ready to go public, we’ll call a meeting and call you all (the media) in here and let you know,” said Stoops Wednesday.
He’s praised both returning starter Patrick Towles and redshirt freshman Drew Barker for their play this spring and knows what he wants to see from both during the summer months before practice resumes in August.
“Just continue to do what they’re doing. Just continue to be good leaders, continue to improve and really focus. Quarterbacks need to keep everybody accountable in the summer,” he said. “We’re not allowed to spend time with them.

I also take that as a positive, meaning that if one get hobbled or has a bad night, the other can step in.

Your right Boom, having 2 very talented quarterbacks is a huge advantage and will make us a stronger team for it.

It's good to see we have already recruited Gunnar Hoak a quarterback from Ohio for the 2016 class.

Stoops was on the radio, yesterday, and stated that he felt he could win games with either QB. So, it sounds like whomever wins the position, won't get it by default, like last season. And, if the starter is having a bad game, the staff will have a viable option. [ 04-23-2015, 07:47 AM: Message edited by: boomdaddy ]

Your right Boom, bet we see both QB's getting some playing time this year and that is good. [ 04-26-2015, 11:30 PM: Message edited by: catmandoo ]
