Author Topic: Leaving Manning was not easy for Tamme catmandoo Player Member # 1284 posted 03-20-2015 04:50 PM                     Peyton is a very special QB that's for sure. Leaving Denver and quarterback Peyton Manning was not an easy decision for Jacob Tamme. However, the chance to be part of something new in Atlanta with first-year coach Dan Quinn, the former Seattle defensive coordinator, was too good an offer for Tamme to pass up. The former Boyle County and University of Kentucky star signed a two-year contract with the Falcons on Thursday. He spent the previous three years in Denver with Manning and was with him the four previous years in Indianapolis. Twice Tamme got to play in the Super Bowl with Manning. “I feel very blessed to have been with Peyton most of my career except the one year when he was injured,” said Tamme via telephone after returning to Hawaii from Atlanta to complete his family vacation. “Our friendship has grown every year and I consider him a great friend and one of the best quarterbacks of all time.
