Author Topic: Steve Spurrier Jr possible next offensive coordinator catmandoo Player Member # 1284 posted 12-15-2014 11:18 AM                     Wouldn't that be something as he is very, very good at what he does. It's in his genes. Scott Roussel of footballscoop.com was on the radio yesterday talking about Kentucky’s vacant offensive coordinator position and mentioned a name that I haven’t heard. He said Steve Spurrier Jr. is a name that is being tossed around to fill Neal Brown’s spot on Kentucky’s staff. One thing to note, Roussel also said it’s very likely that Lincoln Riley of East Carolina will take the job at Kentucky. Steve Spurrier and Stoops' brother Bob are longtime friends. How serious Spurrier Jr, who also serves as his father's wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator, factors in the search remains to be seen, and Roussel said it was still "very likely" that East Carolina offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley accepts the position. He said Riley had some other "things going on in the profession."
