We have a lot of work to do and it will be interesting to see how the Big Blue faithful will handle the poor showing at times in last night's game. The schedule will not get any easier with Mississippi State and Georgia coming up but we do have a "shot" at the Missouri, Tennessee and the Louisville game.
Mark Stoops offered no apologies for the way his special teams played to fall behind 27-3 at halftime. LSU got 17 points directly related to special teams.
“It has been all special teams and penalties,” Stoops said during an interview on the SEC Network. “They are playing good defense. We are moving the ball, but special teams were very poor.
“We have to make some plays (in the second half). We were hanging in there until the last five minutes (when LSU scored 10 points), but it’s all about special teams and miscues.”
LSU has 159 return yards at halftime, including 47 on the opening kickoff return.

But.............we have very little offense too. We really have no one who can run in the backfield. Kemp, Williams and Heard are not the great running back we need. And maybe the offensive line is not making holes for them to run thru. I expect a large crowd there next weekend but I feel it will be half empty after halftime.
