If you don't think you can win you won't, confidence is huge and hopefully it will pay off today.

Kentucky quarterback Patrick Towles doesn’t mind admitting that he believes UK will win at LSU tonight.

“We plan on going down there and winning the football game. We want to win every football game. Somebody asked me after the Monroe game, they were like, ‘Hey, you know, did you expect to be 5-1?’ I said, ‘Really, I expect to be 6-0.’ You people will laugh and that and think, ‘Ah, you know, he’s just blowing smoke,'” Towles said.

“I expect to win every football game we play, and that’s the mentality that these coaches have instilled in all of us. And that’s the mentality these coaches have instilled in all of us, so we expect to go down there and win on Saturday. We’re going to do everything we can to do that.”

Towles said being 5-1 is not enough for this team.

“We’re not here to compete in games. We’re here to win football games. I think people are happy with – after the season, people ask you, ‘Hey, will you be happy with six wins?’ No, I’ll be happy if we win every game we play,” Towles said.

“If it gets down to the end and we make it to a bowl game, I’ll be excited about that. But we’re taking it one game at a time and we want to win every football game we play.”

It's good that he's confident. Now he needs to learn to see the whole field and not focus entirely on just the #1 option. Play calling and execution not so good in first half LSU, and the coaches need to dial up a better offensive game plan. You can't beat LSU trying to beat them to the corners. Need a good tight end across the middle pass play.
