When you go 2-10 you better have learned a lot and more importantly it's what you do with what you learned.

What did Mark Stoops learn during his first season as a head coach last year when UK went 2-10?

“I think just the things I just touched on in this league: you better recruit, you better work hard to develop your players to build a program because everybody else is doing it,” Stoops said. “Just time management is obviously something a first-year head coach, with all the demands that are put on you, just keeping that in perspective and doing all of the things you can do, control the things you can control, staying on task.

“We accept and take all of the accountability with wins and losses. You’re always trying to do things better but there also comes a time to do what you set out to do to stick to your plan and keep things moving.”
