The 2021 grassroots basketball season has wrapped up and a handful of Kentucky targets took home All-Circuit Awards.

The inaugural All-Circuit Awards recognized the best players and performances during the 2021 season across the Nike EYBL, adidas 3 Stripes Select Basketball (3SSB), Under Armour Association (UAA) and elite independent travel circuits.

Kentucky commit and No. 1 overall prospect Shaedon Sharpe racked up the awards, being named Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Circuit after averaging 24.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game for UPLAY Canada. He also won Performance of the Year for pouring in 47 points on 20 of 29 shooting including 4 of 8 three-pointers in UPLAY Canada's win over E1T1 United at a MADE Hoops event back in May.

In the EYBL's Session I, Sharpe was also named Best Offensive Player by The Circuit after averaging 21.6 points on 46.2 percent 3-point shooting to go along with 5.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists over seven games. He scored in double-figures seven times with three 20-point games, including a pair of 29-point outings. He made at least three 3-pointers in five of the seven games, including five during a 30-point outburst.

Combined with another five games at Peach Jam, Sharpe averaged 22.6 points with six 20-point games and two 30-point games in 12 outings, averaging 2.5 three-pointers per game while shooting 36.1 percent from beyond the arc.

Class of 2023 combo guard Reed Sheppard was named Underclassman Player of the Year and Second Team All-Circuit after averaging 17.5 points on 45 percent shooting, 5.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.4 steals in helping lead Midwest Basketball Club (Adidas) to a 35-5 record.

The London (Ky.) North Laurel 4-star combo guard, who has risen to No. 34 nationally in the 2023 composite rankings, holds early offers from Kentucky, Virginia, Indiana, Louisville, Ohio State, Iowa, Arizona State, Clemson, and Texas A&M among others.

Richardson (Tex.) 5-star combo guard Cason Wallace was named First Team All-Circuit after averaging 13.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game for Pro Skills on the Nike EYBL circuit.

Wallace, who jumped nine spots from No. 16 to No. 7 overall when 247Sports updated its class of 2022 rankings, was named The Circuit's Most Valuable Player of Nike EYBL Session I, where he averaged 15.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 1.3 steals over seven games. He was also was also extremely efficient, shooting 51.2 percent overall, 37 percent from 3 (10 of 27), and 83.3 percent from the free throw line (15 of 18).

He then earned Second Team All-Peach Jam honors after averaging 14.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists vs. just 1.8 turnovers, (2.7 A-TO ratio), 1.3 blocks and 1.1 steals while shooting 47.8 percent from the floor (75 of 157), 35.2 percent from 3 (19 of 54), and 84 percent from the free throw line (21 of 25) in leading Pro Skills to a 12-1 record over two weeks.

Following the conclusion of the Nike EYBL travel season, Wallace was one of 12 players named to the All-Star Team from the NBA Top 100 Camp in Orlando, where he led the camp in assists (5.0) and steals (3.0) per game to go along with 10.3 points and 4.3 rebounds.

Wallace has a top four of Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, and UT-San Antonio and has scheduled a commitment date for his birthday on Nov. 7.
