With five-star prospect Skyy Clark’s decision happening on Oct. 22, Kenny Clark, Skyy’s father, took the time to update the recruitment of the potential Kentucky Wildcat.
In an interview with the Herald-Leader, Kenny Clark told John Clay that they had shut down all things involving the recruitment, such as interviews and podcasts, so Skyy could figure out his next move.
“We shut everything down for the most part,” the player’s father, Kenny Clark, told the Herald-Leader over the weekend. “Just so he can think and figure out his move.”
“He just wanted to get the process over and give him a year and a half to learn the school that he goes to — offense and defense and learn the system, and prepare his game to play that way. He just wanted to get it out of the way,” Kenny Clark said. “And right now, he’s staying in ’22.
An interesting piece of news? Kenny Clark said that Skyy will be staying put in the class of 2022 as of right now, with rumors swirling around Skyy potentially reclassifying into 2021 over the summer.
The recruitment is being projected to come down between Kentucky and the North Carolina Tar Heels, who have gained some momentum in recent months surrounding Clark’s recruitment. At one point, it was thought that whichever of the two of Clark or 2021 top-ten prospect Hunter Sallis picked Kentucky, the other would go to North Carolina. Also included in Clark’s list is Memphis and UCLA.
While the Rivals.com Futurecast is virtually split between Kentucky and North Carolina, it should be noted that just recently on Oct. 5 and 6., Travis Graf from Cats Illustrated changed his prediction from North Carolina to Kentucky, followed by fellow Rivals analyst Ty Spalding. Graf has been one of the best in the recruiting game as of recent months.

I still feel that his move to TN for high school means he will end up at UK. Whether it means Sallis goes to NC,I'm not so sure. They both know that Cal likes to have 2 or 3 ball handlers and they all seem to do well together. Even having Hickman already on board should not affect either of these PGs. Our chances of having all three would be about 50-50 the way I see it because there will probably be some of the current players come back.
