Five-star shooting guard Josh Christopher landed a scholarship offer from Kentucky on Wednesday.
Christopher — a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Bellflower, Calif. — referred to UK as his “dream school” earlier this year and has established himself as one of the top prospects in the 2020 class. He’s the No. 8 overall player in the 247Sports rankings for that group, and the top-rated shooting guard in his class, according to 247Sports’ list.
He averaged 21.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game during Nike play this spring and summer, and Kentucky’s coaches were fixtures at his games during last week’s Peach Jam finals.
Christopher’s brother will be a freshman at Arizona State this season, and — while the Sun Devils are recruiting him hard — he has made it clear his own recruitment remains wide open.
