Kentucky has come out of nowhere to become the favorite for Isaiah Stewart.

Just a few weeks ago, it looked like Kentucky had all but thrown in the towel on the five-star center, who was widely expected to end up at Duke with Michigan State being the biggest challenger.

However, Duke has had some big misses on the recruiting trail recently, including Josiah James (Tennessee) and Bryan Antoine (Villanova). Perhaps that helped Stewart reconsider just how much he liked Duke.

Or, maybe Kentucky was always going to be at the top of this list if they made him a priority.

Regardless of what the case may be, Kentucky is now in the driver’s seat for one of the top players in 2019. The latest indication of that is recruiting guru Evan Daniels logging a crystal ball prediction in favor of Kentucky.

This comes as Stewart is wrapping up his official visit with Kentucky. He appears to be enjoying himself, even signing autographs for fans. He was also hanging out with the basketball team during Saturday’s rocking atmosphere at Kroger Field as Kentucky beat South Carolina.
