Just being reported and is in surgery already. I don't think it's life threatning but he had to be extracted with the jaws of life.

TIGER WOODS
INJURED IN SINGLE CAR CRASH IN L.A.

Tiger Woods was hospitalized following a bad single-car accident in L.A. County on Tuesday morning -- with officials requiring the jaws of life to free him from the vehicle.

"On February 23, 2021, at approximately 7:12 AM, LASD responded to a single vehicle roll-over traffic collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes," officials say.

"The vehicle was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard, at Blackhorse Road, when it crashed. The vehicle sustained major damage."

"The driver and sole occupant was identified as PGA golfer, Eldrick 'Tiger' Woods," officials confirmed.

"Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the 'jaws of life' by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries."

Unclear what caused the accident. Cops are investigating.

45-year-old Tiger was in the area for his annual Genesis Invitational golf tournament at the Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades.

I'm sorry he was in an accident, and I hope they get him all fixed up. However, there must not have been any other news out there, because that's all there is on TV this afternoon.

They even have a helicopter following the rollback with his car on it. I am not cold hearted, it's just not that big of a news story.

It's been that way for years, and it's one reason I'm not a Tiger fan. I'm glad he wasn't seriously hurt (it looked like a pretty bad accident) but Tiger could fart and it would be breaking news.

Nah. That would be "breaking wind". But if he farted and it smelled, the sports media would blame his partner. [Smile]
