First time I have ever heard of a serious fan injury.

I've seen a few Tour events where a spectator took a ball of the noggin. Those things can do some damage.

Id'd like to see what grounds these people use for the lawsuit. I would think if you go to a golf event, you should take it upon yourself to know what's going on around you.

I also heard that the injury wasn't as serious as was initially reported.

I would think spectators at a golf match would fall under the same category as fans at a baseball game. When a foul ball comes off the bat it's hard to say where it's going to go.
