I received the J&J vaccine shot on March 10th and other than feeling like someone frogged me in the shoulder with their middle knuckle out like kids used to do in JR High school and that went away in about 2 minutes, I never had that first symptom of the virus.
My wife had the Moderna vaccine, her second shot made her sick enough that she called in sick the next day and she seldom if ever calls in sick!

Mel,
My wife and I had the Pfizer vaccine about one moth ago. We had no symptoms or side effects.
I believe that the problem with the J and J vaccine may be related to women who were taking birth control pills, but that has not be completely evaluated

My wife and I both had the J&J with no issues.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

Mel,
thanks for that information. There must be more associated problems than just birth-control pills.

I saw on a local news brief this morning that it was mainly in women. 1 in a million were getting blood clots, but 3 in ten thousand develop blood clots from oral birth control. So they are 10 times more likely to develop blood clots from birth control than they are the J&J shot, but we're going to make a big deal out of the vaccine! Sounds about right!

mhamilton, I agree. Odds are better than being struck by lightning.

On the news this morning they said a seventh woman had developed blood clots. One has died out of 7 million shots given. I can’t help but wonder how many would have died of Covid without those shots.

If I had not already had both Moderna shots, I would take it tomorrow with no hesitation. To me it would be about what are my best odds.

But in more important news, social media is reporting Johnson and Johnson is adding an ingredient to their vaccine that will sterilize women.

There is so much innumeracy out there that causes unnecessary panic. But, given the popularity of casinos and the many lotteries, it is not surprising.

Everything has become so politicized, getting accurate data is hard enough; making sense of that data is yet another challenge.

Now I understand that the Pfizer jab (which I had) now is revealed to be problematic for two reasons: (1) The South African variant of COVID can still infect you, and (2) the effects drop from 95+ efficacy to around 60% after six months.

I find it funny that the manufacturers want to call these "vaccines", which they most certainly are NOT. But by calling them vaccines, they are exempt from being sued for any problems that arise. These are completely different from vaccines; they are genetic therapies. The term "jab" seems to be what the media has settled upon, despite the desire by both the pharma companies and our government to mislabel them as vaccines.

I read today that you may have to take a third injection.
Not near enough tests done on these (as Tip states) vaccines before giving them out.
