'Twas the night before the election
and all through the land
Not a citizen was stirring
except to wash their hands
For rallies and ads and polls are now done
We've had early voting, absentee ballots, and "vote by mail" fun
Tomorrow it ends, and not a moment too soon
As the nation prepares for the shootout at noon
We've already seen violence and looting and burning galore
While COVID makes us leery of neighbors and more
BLM, and Antifa have set up new nations
While Proud Bois and militias ready their rations
Windows are boarded up and walls are erected
in anticipation of chaos should our president be reelected
The polls are saying its Biden by a mile
Yet, somehow, Trump sits there with that all-knowing smile
I sit here and worry, I fret, and I pray
for wisdom and prudence is the American way
But lately there has been very little prudence on display
as losers plan on how to ignite a new fray
So join me, my TCD'ers, and pray for this place
this strained nation needs an extra dose of grace
Lets rise above the frenzied rhetoric about race
and heal the wounds that have bloodied our face

I heard yesterday that there was a President Trump rally just outside of Denver and then they dorve around Denver on the I-470 tollway and the line of cars was 45 miles long. They supposedly had another rally somewhere in Colorado that was almost 70 miles long.
