Recently I posted my concern about the social treatment for the Coronovirus. I suggested that the "treatment was worse than the disease". I was not focusing on the medical treatment, but on the efforts to shutdown the country to prevent the spread. I do think it did help decrease the spread of the disease but caused considerable problems for many who did not get the disease.
I think the news media spent so much time (overhype)on this disease that it frightened many of us and caused our leaders to over react.

Never in a thousand years would I have imagined that Americans would so willingly give up our freedoms out of fear. Nor would I have imagined that Americans would be cowed into even more fear and further division over race issues. This double-whammy bodes very poorly for the future of our nation.

We are no longer the "land of the free" nor the "home of the brave". We are overwhelmingly cowards willing to sacrifice our constitutional freedoms on the alter of ever-bigger government so we can be "protected". Oh, until we actually defund the police. Then all hell will break loose.

I have said that all along and the media and some members of the government scared us into giving up some of our rights as citizens and we bought into it. After all the riots if there isn't a huge spike in cases I don't want to hear anything about "The Vid" !!!
WHO came out this week and said masks were not needed unless you are working with a patient. Hmmmm maybe President Trump was right all alone. I also have been very concerned about people getting CO2 poisoning from wearing a mask and breathing your own CO2. Had a nurse told me they don't wear them except when working with a patient and her kids were not going to school in the fall if they are required to wear a mask, they will be home schooled. Said it is very dangerous to wear one.

I think the biggest fear was an overloaded health care system. My neighbor works at a hospital in Cincinnati. He said they turned the cafeteria into a sick bay, loaded with beds and equipment to help those with the virus. But they never used any of them. He said the most patients they had at one time with COVID was 25. He also said just about anyone who died was coded as a COVID death, without even being tested. They got $39,000 for each COVID death. Of the reported COVID numbers, he says it's probably more likely only 40-50% of the actual numbers.

So yes, it appears that fear, and possibly greed, simply took over our country.

I think what bothered me more than anything is all of the contradictions (wear a mask, don't wear a mask, Etc.). I don’t believe anyone truly knows the ins and outs of this virus. We destroyed a great economy because of it. I still believe the Chinese government did it purposely. I have a feeling that after the election in November we’ll never hear about it again.

Enterprise,
I enjoy reading Scriptures that are posted. Also, when I pray and give thanks for my blessings (food, clothing, and shelter) I do remember that I have so much more than I need (such as comforts and luxuries), but I also remember that the material blessings are all temporary, but Christ's sacrifice on the cross for our sins is eternal.

^^^^^^^^^AMEN^^^^^^

When asked how I am, the answer is always "Better than I deserve" I realize that a famous economics PR person uses this very phrase, (Dave Ramsey I think), but it fits me to a T!!

~This Ain't coming from no Prophet.....
Just an ordinary man~
When I close my eyes I see... The way this world will be,
When we all walk hand in hand~~~~

When the last thing we notice is the color of skin
And the first thing we look for is the beauty within,
When the skies and the oceans are clean again,
WE SHALL BE FREE....

When we're free to love anyone we choose,

when this world's big enough for all different views,

When we're all free to worship from our own kind of pew....

We Shall be FREE...... Garth Brooks
