Curious as to what others think about Trump declaring a national crisis over border Secutity. I hope he does not have to as I believe it will cause future problems. However, I'm beginning to think he will have no choice if we are ever to get funding for a wall, steel fence, border security or what ever it's being called today. As a last resort I'm ok with it.
I just wish motor mouth could have kept his mouth shut for once when he declared he would "proudly shut the government down."

What frustrates me is, the EXACT same people that are screaming "Immoral, waste of money, ineffective, manufactured crisis, that's not who we are, etc, etc, etc, are the ones that were all for it less than ten years ago. All I can think when they throw their hissy fits is, "Are you shi++ing me?" I mean, even elementary school kids don't act that stupid.

I had a liberal tell me, yesterday, that Obama never shut the government down for 20 days over an issue.
I said your right. Obama shut the government down for 28 days to push Obamacare down America's throat. Then she said, Obamacare doesn't work. Even a liberal could see that obamacare was a turd.
The "National Emergency" is the Executive Branch's nuclear option, and the POTUS is well within his power to mandate such. I believe this is why the dems refuse to budge, because they want Trump to make the move and then they scream from the mountain tops that they finally have their impeachable offense.
It is odd that this is the first President in modern times, where the opposition party has been openly and publicly trying to orchestrate a coup, and the media has been 100% on their side, and there have been no legal repercussions.
Either the republicans are bunch of pansies, or they want the coup to happen as well.
I haven't decided which.

its all bs as far as I am concerned - I was involved in all the shut downs either being in wash and/or overseas and always got paid....we worked overseas and we sometimes worked in the states but always eventually got our pay checks. same thing will happen here. paid vacations are nice!!

And congress has already passed, almost unanimously, a resolution to pay them again this time.

Trump is caving like a cheap lawn chair and re opening the government on a temporary basis. If the House does not propose a satisfactory budget, it will shut down again.
Congress spends money that America doesn't have. Yes this country is in debt.
Is the wall too expensive? Hell no. Compared to what it cost America for the illegal aliens each year, it is a drop in the bucket.
The Democrat controlled House submitted a budget that included 50 billion to give away to other countries and no money for the border wall.
If I were POTUS, I would veto it on principal, alone. And tell them to quit giving money to other countries.
Trump should declare a national emergency and build the wall with the military.
He should also clean house at the top of the Justice Department and the FBI and being those involved in the coup to justice.
Some people think that those involved in the coup will face justice. I have lost faith that any of the treasonous characters will ever be brought to justice.
The illegal aliens issue isn't the only National Emergency that is going on. The corruption under the Obama administration that includes the Justice Department and the FBI has been allowed to go unfettered. This is on so large a scale, I don't ever see the culprits getting their due.

Republicans were in control of the House, Senate and Presidency for the last 2 years and no wall. Democrats have been in control of just the House for 3 weeks and it's their fault...go figure.
