This would be a good thing. The nation's top law enforcement agency has become a political tool and the guilty need to be brought to justice.

Amazing how blatant the DOJ and FBI were because they were "positive" Hillary would win and NONE of the corrupt actions would be known! Our govt under OBAMA was used for his personal vendetta against anyone he wanted!! [ 05-23-2018, 07:58 AM: Message edited by: ukcatfannfl ]

I think most of the American population have lost all confidence in the FBI and Department of Justice. Comey, McCabe and company have totally destroyed their credibility. No government agency should have a political agenda.

if appointees are bi-partisan when in these two entities as they should be it should not matter who appoints them..

Were not both present departments heads appointed by Trump? Are you saying Trump does not know what he is doing when it comes to appointing people to critical positions? It certainly appears like both departments are reluctant to do what the president wants done. Wonder why that is? [ 05-23-2018, 11:03 AM: Message edited by: handycat ]

I honestly think Jeff Sessions might be Trumps worst appointment as head of the DOJ. He is a figure head only who had he not recused himself from the Russian claims, we would not be having all these problems we are currently having. It is the Justice Department that Congress is having trouble getting data from currently.

It does not matter who a tyrant appoints to any position...anything short of blind loyalty is considered treasonous

Ukcatfannf, no point in being a smart ass unless you just enjoy it. Please don't insult my intelligence by saying that was not your intent. I think I'm entitled to my opinion even if it is different than yours.

Ed, can you not accept that others can have a different opinion without resorting to sarcasm?
The country is very much split -- some believe as you do that the FBI has gone 'rogue', and is a tool of the Obama and Clinton regimes, another cog of the "deep state" intent on ousting a sitting president based upon nothing but made-up stories.
But the rest think the FBI is doing the right thing, and that Trump is just a spoiled brat who is throwing yet another temper-tantrum about how the FBI isn't being "fair", and had "spies" placed in his campaign... and on and on.
I am not sure which is the majority opinion, but certainly the latter group is much louder and more vocal. But do not try to speak for "America", because there is really at least two "Americas" these days, and they don't like one another one bit.

I am getting a little tired of you and your buddy moun mafia "baiting" every repl on this site on most threads posted. So no need to answer any of ur silly questions. Just go ahead and answer ur own questions as you will only "bait" whomever attempts a logical reply....

OK. This hasn't happened in a while, but I am closing this thread down.
Handy and MM are not "buddies" simply because neither of them agree with you. And you may not be the only person who is "tired" of things here. Nobody here is baiting, nobody here is necessarily right or wrong. There is room for respectful disagreement.
But, if we cannot respect the fact that we have differing opinions, especially about someone as obviously polarizing as Donald Trump, then it is time to just stop the whole thing.
Reminder: This is the "CIVIL DEBATE" section of TCD. Debate means there are two sides... not one. [ 05-23-2018, 11:58 AM: Message edited by: Tiptree ]
