Proposed budget! Sure glad we Republicians/Conservatives have control of the Senate, House and Excutive Branch. If not for that we would have a large deficit. [ 03-22-2018, 01:13 PM: Message edited by: handycat ]

Amen Paul, they all want to spend our money. To the best of my knowledge, not one cut to give away programs suggested.

I guess I'm the only one on here that is outraged about this. This is fiscal restraints? We might as well have Obama and the democrats back in power as far as spending goes. Trump "reluctantly " signs this. If he would have had his way it would have even added more to the deficit.

I'm with you handycat. Ridiculous.
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

Sorry, you have to blame Trump along with all the rest of them. They've been in talks for weeks about this budget and until a few hours before signing he was even enthused about it. I'm certainly not blaming him alone but he was a big part of this.
Not sure what the "wall" has to do with the budget. Everyone knows Mexico is paying for the "wall".😀 [ 03-23-2018, 04:48 PM: Message edited by: handycat ]

From day one he has wanted the wall - congress refuses to do it. 90 miles funded vs 3000 miles needed -that is on them not him,
How can any rational person not want to protect our borders. We are a welfare state now and getting worse,,, The money saved by keeping the illegals out would more than pay for the wall...
He has accomplished a lot during his tenure despite everyone against him!
He didn't want to sign the bill but did so because secdef asked him too because of the military funding! personal feelings aside he did it for the good of the country. Sounds like a rational decision to me
And of course DACCA was not funded meaning the dum asss congress will be all over him about needing money for the poor "children" (adults) [ 03-23-2018, 06:08 PM: Message edited by: ukcatfannfl ]

He consults with the the majority leaders of both the house and the senate and then he approves it.
Acting like he didn't want to approve it was to pacify the more conservative in his base. Remember, he was all for this fiasco of a budget in the days and hours preceding his "reluctant" signing.

So he;s not allowed to enter politics in it?
p.s. the prb with trump is that he has a lot of very weak reps in office starting with McConnell who will NOT back him on anything. They are for the good old boys club and they are more in bed with shummer and pelosi than trump. Shameful [ 03-23-2018, 07:13 PM: Message edited by: ukcatfannfl ]

ukcatfannfl. No offense, I'm done with this topic. I just wanted to express my extreme disappointment with all the "politicians" associated with this budget. I have a strong belief that we can not continue to spend money we do not have. May not affect us old guys but will reek havoc with our children's and grandchildren's lives. Make any sense?

Congress is full of self serving bastards. The President could have vetoed the measure and let the government shut down. I would have be in favor of that. Would have preferred him to tell them to go back and cut the pork.
