Author Topic: UK basketball, football have history with possible new SEC rivals Texas, Oklahoma catmandoo Player Member # 1284 posted 07-28-2021 09:53 PM                     On Tuesday, the league confirmed Texas and Oklahoma had submitted formal requests for invitations to join the league in 2025. Whether that move becomes official in 2025, when the schools' current Big 12 contract expires, or the legal teams of all parties are able to coordinate an earlier move, change is coming. For Kentucky, those additions mean regular matchups with two traditional powers in a host of sports, including football and men’s basketball.
