Devin Booker’s first experience in the NBA Playoffs has went pretty well so far.

Booker was drafted in 2015, and this year is experiencing his first postseason action, and he’s made the most of it so far.

While the Suns fell short last night and the Finals are now tied 2-2, Booker passed Rick Barry for the most points in an NBA Playoffs in a player’s first appearance.

Booker was averaging more than 26 points per game going into Game 4, and finished last night with 42 points. During the playoffs, Booker has 542 points, ahead of Rick Barry with 521 and Julius Erving with 518.

The Suns need two more wins to bring home the title, which is certainly the bigger priority for Booker, but this has been a great playoff run for him.

I've been watching some of the NBA games only to watch Booker. He certainly is a generational talent, but was an afterthought at UK.

Despite the heroics of Aaron Harrison and his streak of game-winning shots en route to a 38-1 season, it is amazing that a talent like Booker was our "sixth man". Imagine the shooting that was left on the bench that year. Not just Booker, but also Willis.

Instead of pounding the ball into KAT every. single. play, and reserving the 3-ball for special circumstances, imagine KAT on the block in a 1-4 offensive set, with the Harrison Twins, Booker, and Willis getting easy open looks from the arc!

I hope that is what we will see this year. With so many good shooters, we should thrive on the arc.

At UK Booker averaged 21.5 minutes a game, 10 points per game and" never" started one game. His field goal average was 47% from the field (41% on 3's. and his free throw percentage was 82.8%. Awesome stats for a player averaging the minutes per game he played.
